Claude Code

✅
The Good
- •Working in Claude Code is FAST. Maybe obvious but moving from copy / pasting code to claude code extension was a 100x improvement
- •Automatically adds common UI elements like color-change when hovering on a clickable item
- •Good "instincts" on basic page layout. For Peptide Signal, I asked it to generate a "community data" page that would pull from the user data table. Didn't provide any screenshots, limited UI instructions, and it generated a pretty good looking page that could fit on a FAANG company website
🤔
Mixed
- •The speed and autonomy is a double-edged sword. Copy/pasting code from chatgpt, I knew exactly how logic worked, what files each piece of code was coming from, etc.
- •Claude Code really tests the PM skillset. Things like writing good acceptance criteria and being thorough about thinking through edge cases is really valuable
⚠️
The Bad
- •Security issues
- •Can take a few iterations to execute on some UI instructions (struggles with image sizing and positioning)
- •Claude isn't great at translating a Figma screenshot into code. It misses on things like spacing, size of text, shading, etc.
