Claude Cowork

I've started using Claude Cowork to talk through project ideas, and teach me about AI more generally (see skills section). One of the best things about Claude Cowork is that it will create new documents and edit existing documents in folders you've given it access to. I started having Claude keep a .md file on important pieces of context and instructions I want it to maintain across sessions. Rather than having to edit the document myself, I can just say "add a short summary of that to claude.md".

Initial thoughts

So far Claude Cowork is... ok. It organized the files on my desktop for me which is nice. I haven't yet needed anything it deleted.

Since I'm testing these AI products on personal projects, I don't have the same day-to-day task management that my real job has, so maybe I'm just not the target audience for Claude Cowork.

Will continue testing with any use cases I think of over the next few weeks.
